What I find truly frightening is that The Cult of Orange will continue to believe the fiction that tariffs will chase all the manufacturing jobs back to the U.S. post haste. When they don't they will accept the scapegoat that Mango Mussolini assigns.
I am a retired manufacturing professional. It isn't that simple.
The Global Supply Chain is cultural in nature. It has developed gradually into a highly Chinese centered one since Nixon first opened up to Mao fifty years ago. It isn't going to come back overnight.

The cities show signs of a strong capitalist society. The jobs left the U.S. for lower paying job markets. Tariffs alone will not bring the jobs back unless the U.S. lowers labor cost. . Starting maybe a decade ago China has been starting to source their low cost manufacturing to Africa.
It's complicated.
MAGA is simple.
